Rockfish Blue started the Hogan’s Hershey Lacrosse tournament on a winning streak…winning all three games on Saturday! With Thomas Moheiser, Sean Smith, Luke Davis, and Ethan Loftis strong on defense, Ian Swidersky scored two of the four goals, while Ethan and Jack Scully scored one each.
Rockfish Blue started the Hogan’s Hershey Lacrosse tournament on a winning streak…winning all three games on Saturday! With Thomas Moheiser, Sean Smith, Luke Davis, and Ethan Loftis strong on defense, Ian Swidersky scored two of the four goals, while Ethan and Jack Scully scored one each. Kellen Zemanski and Massey McCann were stellar in the goal, holding the Gunnerz Lax Club to only two goals. Kellen had 10 saves and Massey had four. In the next game against Green Machine, Rockfish Blue won 5-2 with Ian again scoring two goals and Bubba Bowen, Blake Misner, and Aiden Doyle scoring one each. Massey proved to be tough in the cage with eight saves, while Kellen had two. Luke was a standout on both offense and defense. Game three against the Militia was a runaway success, with Rockfish Blue scoring 10 goals to MP Militia’s 3. Ian and Aiden had two a piece.
On Day #2 of the tournaments in a tough game against the Ridge Futures, the Rockfish Blue team fell behind, came back, but still lost the game 7-4. And although Blake, Kellen, and Massey were tough on defense and Brendan Kennedy (BK), Aiden, Luke, and Nick Porciello all scored, the team just couldn’t pull it together for a win. The next game ended in a tie (3-3) with the Long Island Express due to an incoming storm. Ian again had two goals and BK had one. Tournament highlights include: Luke as a standout on both defense and offense, Thomas tough on defense, Ian with 8 goals, Aiden with 4, Kellen with 25 saves, and Massey with 20 saves.
